"Brother" is an official selection at the Cannes Film Festival under the American Pavilion Emerging Filmmaker Showcase.  Hopefully, I'll get to go to France in May!  =]

College Television Awards

I am nominated in the animation category for the College Television Awards!  Thanks to everyone who helped out on my film.  I wouldn't have been able to do it without you.  The gala will take place at the J.W. Marriott in LA on April 25th 2013.

Exciting News

I haven't been posting that much since the end of my thesis, partly because of laziness, but mostly because I've been freelancing a lot.  So, I can't share the work I've been doing until it's out in the public.  I did get some pretty exciting news this month though.

I'm in two academy qualifiers =]:

Cinequest Film Festival 2013 - Student Shorts
Atlanta Film Festival 2013  - Adult Animated Short Films

And I'm a finalist in the College Emmys (College Television Awards) in the animation category!  Even if I don't get nominated, I'm truly honored to have made it this far.  Good luck to all other finalists!

Summer Fun and "Brother" update.

This summer has been going great. I really like LAIKA and surprisingly Portland as well. I've been here for 8 weeks already, and it doesn't feel like that at all! It's crazy how fast things are going after school. As far as "Brother" goes, it has been in a number of festivals/has gotten a few achievements so far: ACM Siggraph CAF 2012 2012 Feel Good Film Festival 2012 California International Shorts Festival 2012 Blue Plum Animation Festival 2012 Adobe Design Achievement Awards- semi-finalist 2012 SVA Outstanding Achievement Award I was very fortunate to be working with such an amazing group of people on "Brother" and cannot thank them enough. As for the future, I've submitted to several other festivals which I haven't heard from yet. And there will be an exciting new venue showing the film. I don't think I can release this info yet, but soon! -Sari
