"ESSENCE" kickstarter COMING SOON!

With "BROTHER" coming to a close in the festival circuit, I am directing a new animated short called "Essence". It tells the story of the soul of a candle flame who strives to survive, but realizes he only has a few moments to live. My co-producers and I will be posting a Kickstarter in the coming months to help us fund this ambitious project. Please stay tuned. Here is a sneak peak of some art work by a couple of our artists, Jon Upton and Zach Brunner.

"Brother" update and new short

I haven't posted in a while- been super busy with work.  It's a lame excuse.  Anyway..  "Brother" won best student short at the American Pavilion Emerging Filmmaker Showcase, and took 3rd place in the animation category at the College Television Awards.  It is also a recent official selection of the Palm Springs International Shorts Fest.  I'm very excited to be part of this year's program.

I am directing another animated short.  We are in pre-pro right now, and I am really loving the style the film has already taken.  It will be called Essence.  More details and artwork to come.

Cannes Film Festival

"Brother" is an official selection at the Cannes Film Festival under the American Pavilion Emerging Filmmaker Showcase.  Hopefully, I'll get to go to France in May!  =]

College Television Awards

I am nominated in the animation category for the College Television Awards!  Thanks to everyone who helped out on my film.  I wouldn't have been able to do it without you.  The gala will take place at the J.W. Marriott in LA on April 25th 2013.
